I had the honour to open the art exhibit in the Maga Contemporary Art museum in Gallarate outside of Milano with the artist Omar Galliani and Alessandro Busci, followed by a private guided tour. Parents against smog, with the local politicians of Milano has awarded all the great kids and their schools that partecipated in the challenge "we were born to walk". For a week nobody was supposed to use the car to get to school, but walk, use the local transportations, bikes or skateboards. This is of course just a start to a new way of moving in the city! 7000 postcards with drawings and ideas on how to improve the city were on display. Even the local police had an amusing activity where you could try on goggles that made you have the effect of being drunk. I failed the test completely! :) ...

Yesterday I attended the Oxfam Italia event "The Women's circle 2012" to raise funds to help fight poverty and injustice around the world. Together with Oxfam, Annie Lennox has set up The Cirlce, a group of influential women who have come together do use their profiles, ideas, skills and resources to connect with women living in poverty around the world. If women get educated and indipendent they often tend to help the family out of starvation and poverty, being the main engine of the family.
