I’ve had the great privilige to get to know, and spend an afternoon with some amazing kids: Anneli, Daniele and Veronica (even baby Ida joined us). There was who preferred playing with the ball, who with a doll, the i-pad or who just wanted to cuddle with mum. Normal things for kids. With the difference that these children are affected by the Phelan-McDermid syndrome a rare genetic disease. It causes intellectual disabilities,  loss of speach, isolation, autism, seizures and emotional problems.
