Tonight we'll meet in Via Solari, to break the silence, toghether with the movement #cyclesafe  (in Italy #salvaiciclisti) to demand higher safety measures on our streets. The more we are on the streets (bikes and pedestrians) the safer we'll be!  I support the initative and will be there, riding my bike of course. Yesterday I participated in the conference on Cycle safety, Cities fit for cycling. The English journalist from The Times, Kaya Burgess, who started the campaign after a colleague of his had been seriously injured in an accident while going to work on her bike, told us about what's being done in England, where the campaign is being supported even by the Prime Minister. Thanks to some Italian bloggers, represented by Paolo Pinzuti, the campaign is having a lot of success also in Italy, bringing awareness to the importance of increasing safety measures for cyclists in Italian cities, involving not only citizens, but a lot of media and politicians.
